Actual Newspaper Clipping from the 1950’s..
Times Change I guess. I thought I’d take this time out to remind the women out there that are insecure or mortified by their curves that, while society and the media portrays alleged perfection as a 5 foot 8 112 pound female, that it is not necessarily perfection in everyone else’s eyes. At an earlier juncture in American History, a voluptuous figure was craved and heavily embraced by women and men alike. I’m not going to sit and type up an entire article nor am I encouraging our female followers to start packing on the pounds. I am simply pointing out that you should embrace what you’ve been blessed with and just because society thinks your ass is too fat doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful. Ten years from now being 200+ lbs can be the new trend if media outlets saw it fit. The human perception of beauty should be 100% instinctive and never influenced by “the higher powers” ideal standards of what beautiful and/or perfection is. As a culture we need not be so brainwashed by our computer and television screens. -The Omen
I’m going to leave this topic open for discussion. What is your opinion on idealism and being “perfect”?
